Location: Gizard Wasteland; Western Continent - Planet Earth
Time: 13:48 PM
Time: 13:48 PM
The wastelands of the Western Continent were as harsh as they were cruel. If one were to look a little harder, they’d soon enough find a tunnelling system of caves supporting one another that was home to a Slave Trade Operation – truly, the vilest form of scum and villainy that still maintains it’s barbaric practice to this day. Even amidst the wonders and light that the world offers to those in search for it, evil and darkness can always find a way through even the smallest of cracks and hide inside until the time was right. For these bastards and servants of an organisation that was dedicated in the slave trade, taking from the weak and using them for their own ends for the sake of wealth was generally on their minds.
Callion; a Saiyan who had found himself in such a precarious situation of actually having been caught by these thugs can be debated as to whether such an act was intentional of not. Naturally, during his travels across the world, he came to the discovery and rumours abound from one town to the next of men, women and children having been taken away by nomads in the morning and night and within moments they disappear in a pile of sand smoke. Ever the curious individual and wanting to know the full story to this presumptuous situation, he volunteered himself to be captured – following the instructions of the several village elders Callion had spoke to during his long voyage from one continent to the next, and was surrounded by several nomad bandits, adorned with heavy Armor and were clearly packing heavy firearms.
In order to prove that he wasn’t too obvious and willing to go with the bandits, he’d put up a valiant fight, able to take down a total of five men on his own before getting ganged up and beaten with every inch of his life, only being kept alive by the smallest amount of health – though breathable in recognising that he’d make a great slave to even the most wealthy and influential of warlords, Afterall, a personal bodyguard was always sought after, and a person that was capable to handling several men at the same time was bound to set a pretty penny, allowing all manner of dreams and delusional grandeur to fill their minds. If one could take an obvious guess, it was honestly both a sad and pathetic sight to behold.
The dawn of the next morning, Callion found himself isolated on his own, separated from what he saw from his cell was the hundreds of civilians that were kept in captivity and in the darkness of the tunnel like caves. There was clear evidence that they were well fed – for a starving slave was a worthless one in the eyes of the owners, and their fates, unless they were rescued, was to be an unfortunate one. The Saiyan’s eyes and ears listened in on the guards, hearing that they just rounded up the last good batch of slaves that were apprehended by surprise and against their will, and all preparations to ship everyone off to the other side of the world in being presented before their new soon-to-be masters was about to commence. This was now a test against the clock, if there was no one who was able enough to get the civilians out of here in time, then everyone will be lost…
While Callion currently still did not have much loyalty or devotion to the Humans of Planet Earth, since he was, by chance, an Alien in his own right much to the illusion of his exactly humanoid like physique – the Saiyan could not afford to see this play through or allow his own captives to get away with this. What came first was the fact that he needed a plan, one that required timing as well as general cooperation with the people around him, alongside taking out the guards that patrolled the interior as well as exterior of the caves. However, there was several silver linings into making sure that the attempt to get as many people out from the caves as possible was highly probable, which surprisingly enough all this came to the fault of the Bandits themselves.
The first of these faults that the Slave Trade Crew had was that their base of operations of pathetically ill equipped – The Iron gates could easily be broken by someone strong enough to bust through, there was no alarm signal to warn the entire station of a riot breaking out, and the guards were so spread apart from the rest of the main division that a good majority of them would never be able to reinforce their fellow bandits in time. Honestly, the only thing that was keeping the vast hundreds of people in line was the sheer ferocity and malicious nature of the Bandits, and their heavy firearms that kept the captured civilians at bay from performing such actions against them.
Alas, they had the ill opportune decision to capture a Saiyan…
Whoops.
The patrols were sloppy, even some of the men were arguing amongst themselves that complained about just about everything they can think about; heat, the dark, no contact, when their next break was going to be, how long until this was all over… One can easily correlate such poor excuse of soldiers to be that of children, and Callion had little time for such games. At the moment the Saiyan saw two of the guards standing watch just outside his cell. If there was anytime to strike now, it was this moment. First Callion used the time when the guards were too busy speaking amongst one another, ensuring that their attention was on each other, his steps were quiet, wanting not to distract the men from their chatter or even interrupt the moment of his plan.
Once he was within range, the Saiyan put his tail to work, using his gift to motion the long monkey like tail forward and coiled around the set of keys on the guard’s pocket and managed to pull them out of his pocket. It was quite the stealthy display and one that required the right moment to snag them from the guard’s back belt. As soon as that was done, Callion’s hands reached out and performed a Vulcan neck pinch manoeuvre on the men, the Saiyan hands connected to where their shoulders meet their necks, and within the sudden chain of movement – the guards were knocked out.
As soon as they were out of the picture, Callion made his way out of his cell, getting the attention of the hundreds of captured civilians, when they were all about to start raising attention and trying to gain his attention, he showed that his finger was on his lips, a very straight forward point across to everyone to keep their mouths shut. One by one, the Iron gates that housed all the captured people were free, a small moment of victory to be sure, but now came the next step…
How to get everyone out of here and back to their old lives…
Fortunately, there was one way to ensure that people were able to get out of there… That, just so happened to be a jumbo jet plane that was uniquely designed to be a normal passenger to blend with the Radio Air Traffic Control teams, encase the bandits were caught off-guard by those who were suspicious. Whilst Callion had zero idea how to pilot or even use Human tech vehicles, there were those that actually had experience – let alone actually worked within those fields – which made it all the easier. While this was good enough to use in order to get everyone out, the moment those jet turbines were on, the noise alone was going to be enough to get every last bandit’s attention and swarm everyone.
A decision had to be made, and seeing how the Saiyan was the one to that managed to get this far in freeing the general populace out from their cells, he went along with the initial plan set up by the few pilots that had the foresight to use such vehicles. The Saiyan stood guard as he watched the Humans get onboard the plane, not wasting anytime with everyone eventually getting cramped due to the vast number of people inside; all of this was necessary in the end, least they want to turn back around and delve into the darkness once more. No, they had to be freed, and while the accommodation was poor, it was only going to be temporary…
But now time was not on their side. A multitude of rounds began to open fire – the bandits were on the move, desperate to recollect the slaves that managed to get free. While they fought with villainous resolve, Callion intervened with a frightening pace, engaging in a life-or-death combat situation with the locus swarm of thugs that appeared from the fiery lit caverns. The Saiyan roared loudly for the Humans to start the turbines, which they did, thus the secret cave hanger doors opened upon the turbines activated. The Jumbo jet began its advance, the human watched and called out to Callion, wanting him to retreat; but stubborn as his race was, he refused. The man waved at the passengers to tell the pilots to go faster, screaming at them to send the message.
The pilots felt guilty, yet they followed such wish and within the span of seconds, the Jumbo Jet plane took off, fleeing the Secret Cave and into the wide-open air. The people were free, and far away from the Slave Traders. Seeing as how this was all over for the thugs, realising that their score was beyond their reach, the Saiyan used the ki from within to take flight for himself and leave through the same way as the jet plane, knowing that the law as well as the military of the human forces will act accordingly and swarm the area and gain as much information as possible, ontop of the inevitable captured bandits and thugs that lurked within.
Perhaps there may come a day where the Saiyan will reunite with the hundreds of civilians that were held prisoner to the Slavers and a celebratory party. Though one thing was clear…
The Warrior Monk’s good deed for the day was over.
To Callion: It was back to training once more.
